We are open 7 days from 5pm till late.

Meet The Team

JONATHAN DOWLING

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Jonathan \”JD\” is one of the \”Owner/Operators\” at Soprano Petone. Family man to three children, he has run Soprano alongside his wife Latisha for the last 10 years. With 23 years experience he enjoys bringing customer favourites and new dishes to the table. JD is a very hands on owner and is often seen in both the kitchen and Front of House. JD loves taking his girls to the park on a Sunday, watching All Black matches and enjoying a good whisky.

Latisha Dowling

Owner/Operator

Latisha \”Tish\” has run Soprano Petone alongside her husband JD for the last 10 years. Initially she was the face of Front of House for a number of years until going on maternity leave in early 2012. Coming back briefly before their second child was born in late 2013. Tish has worked behind the scenes mainly since 2013 as well as running a local branch of a nationwide charity. (2014-2017)

Tish does appear on occasion in the Front of House still.

JD and Tish are expecting their third baby – their first boy in Feb 2018.

Anthony Evans

FUNCTIONS – MANAGER

Anthony \”Ants\” has been with us since 2012. He\’s mainly responsible for organising any functions but Ants is also often seen with his easy going and vibrant personality leading the Front of House team. However in addition to those roles he also slips into the kitchen and works his magic alongside the Chefs from time to time.

Ants is a valued member of not only Soprano but also in our local community, Ants often gives up his spare time to donate his time to local charities such as Te Omanga hospice and Bellyful Hutt Valley.
